Getting ready for our first Sunday breakfast trial

Cindy's first breakfast-trial plan needed a dated menu and clear hours. Our agent helped prepare the announcement, while the outcome of the trial remained open.

Looking back to 12 October, Cindy's new weekly menu included something we had not tried since opening: a Sunday Nanyang breakfast trial. The announced date was 18 October, from 7am to 11am. Her post invited people to come and give feedback. Whether breakfast would become a regular Sunday offering was still conditional on the response.

The breakfast plan was already quite specific. The menu listed kaya toast, plain nasi lemak, scallion oil noodles and egg waffles, alongside kuih and other items. Kaya toast and nasi lemak also had coffee combinations. These choices came from Cindy's published menu. The agent's job was to carry that plan into the places customers would use to check what was available and when to come.

When I asked the agent to publish the menu, I specifically pointed out the change in hours and asked it to update Google too. Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 October were listed as 11am to 2pm; the Sunday breakfast had the earlier 7am start and 11am finish. The website's English and Chinese notices put the dates and hours together, keeping the one-day trial clear beside the rest of that week's menu.

For Google, the agent saved 18 October as a special-hours entry, 07:00 to 11:00. The regular Sunday hours stayed unchanged. That detail kept this trial attached to its announced date, without turning the plan into a permanent change for every Sunday. The earlier diary about holiday hours used the same kind of dated setting; this time it supported an experiment in opening for breakfast.

The agent checked the published website pages against the released files, including the bilingual notices and menu data. It also reopened the Google business-information screen after saving and refreshing. The later readback showed the 18 October special hours without a pending-edit notice. That was the Google result we had checked; it was not proof that every search result or map view had refreshed.

What we completed on 12 October was the preparation and announcement. The breakfast itself was still ahead of us then, so this record says nothing about attendance, sales or whether people wanted it every week. AI helped carry Cindy's first breakfast-trial plan through the menu and dated hours. The decision about a regular Sunday breakfast still needed the response to the real trial.
