Making room for our local partners
An agent turned confirmed partner details into a shared bilingual section on four website pages, so the introductions would stay with each weekly rebuild.
Looking back to 12 September, there was another small job for our website: giving local community partners a place on it. I asked the agent to add The Fox Cafe in Wahroonga and then Pure Brew & Co. in Gordon to Chloe’s Mama Kitchen. Both were confirmed members of our Local Community Partner Program.
For each introduction, the agent needed the actual business name, suburb, address and official website link. It prepared English and Chinese versions with the same basic facts. The introductions give visitors a way to learn about each café; they do not promise a discount or add an endorsement we had not agreed to.
Pure Brew also had an existing logo. The agent copied that original asset from the website repository and kept its square proportions. This was a different job from designing our own logo: here, an existing business identity needed to remain its own.
The introductions appear on our English and Chinese homepages and on both Community Stories indexes. We put the partner details in one shared list, which the website uses in all four places. When the weekly menu is rebuilt, that same list supplies the partner section again. We can update an introduction once and keep the versions together.
Before release, the agent checked the names, addresses, links and logo in the rendered pages, including the mobile layouts and language switch. After I approved the release, the two changes were merged on 12 September. I checked the records again while preparing this diary entry on 5 October: both partners were still listed in all four places.
That is the completed result I can share: a bilingual part of our website where visitors can find two local partners. We have not measured how many visits or sales those introductions produced. For our little kitchen, the useful work was collecting the right details, putting them in the right places and making sure the next menu update kept them there.
