Our logo started with Chloe’s drawing

From our daughter’s hand-drawn logo to a polished image, a vector version in Figma and a reusable design system, AI helped us carry the idea through.

The logo for Chloe’s Mama Kitchen started as a drawing by our daughter Chloe. Her hand-drawn version was what we gave to AI to work from.

The previous story was about comparing options for buying the kitchen equipment. The next part I want to share is how we made the logo and design system. There were a few stages after Chloe’s original drawing.

First, we gave the drawing to my AI agent, Alex. We asked it to turn that hand-drawn version into a more polished design. Alex generated a refined image based on the drawing.

Once we had that image, we had an AI agent work in Figma to recreate it fully as vector artwork, piece by piece. That vector version became the official logo for the kitchen.

Each stage had a specific job: the drawing, the polished image and then the vector version in Figma. Chloe supplied the starting point, and the agent helped us carry it through into a design we could use.

With the logo’s style and colours in place, we worked on the wider visual identity. We brought together the logo, the dishes Cindy would be making and her ideas for the restaurant’s style. The AI agent used those inputs to create a whole design system.

A design system gives us a set of design rules and materials we can reuse. When we need to design something else, we have a common starting point instead of working out the whole visual style again.

AI helped us connect those stages: Chloe’s drawing, a refined image, an editable vector logo and a design system for later work. The kitchen’s visual identity grew from those ideas and the practical work of turning them into something we could use.

Part 5: Comparing the equipment shopping list
